From moral values to public health effectiveness

The COVID-19 pandemic has put every contemporary society in front of various challenges. While those are often reflected and explained through economic, political or medical lenses, it seems that thorough ethical bioethical insights too rarely exposed made explicit. This article tries to contribute the neglected sphere interconnection interrelatedness basic moral values general, primarily public health, Moreover, will be argued by deeply disrespectful behaviour chief institutions inappropriate communication overall community (citizens) value elementary trust respectfulness been eroded, betrayed, consequently brings plethora political, medical, other challenges troubles. key argument is effectiveness health measures rooted stable publicly communicated values, such as life but stability lays mostly trust, respect, fairness etc. One most important lessons this could give humanity almost self-evident, forgotten insight, necessary glue all needed for functional (and generally global on Earth). examples taken from Croatian example social, institutional confrontation pandemic.
